Pearl Fryer's Garden

We made a trip to Bishopville, SC; a small town with one of the most inspirational folks I've ever met - Pearl Fryer. Mr. Fryer has a wonderful garden and invites everyone to stop by and see his "cut bushes." We were treated to an impromptu garden tour by the man himself. He is amazing and full of stories. If you aren't familiar with this gentleman, go ahead a do a google search on him. I bought his DVD, "A Man Named Pearl" and he even autographed it for me. I left there full of hope and energy. Savor the details.

Pop Up Thanks

I received the BEST valentine's day photo card from my sweet nieces with an AMAZING popup thank you card from my seven year old niece. Thank you Amelia. It made me tear up a bit. It's hard being so far away from family. Happy Valentine's Day everyone. Savor the details.

Rest in Peace Sweet Cousin

b. 2/26/1978 - d. 1/31/2011

"We met with my specialist for a check up and he informed us that the tumor was cancerous--a rare form called synovial sarcoma. This type of cancer appears in the spaces between the ducts (as opposed to most cancers that appear in the ducts) and frequently has a pseudo-covering that causes it to appear to be self-contained.

Armed with hundreds of people praying for us, supporting us, and cheering us on, we are prepared to work with the doctors to bring about a positive outcome and add my name to the growing number of cancer survivors in the world.

God has gifted our family with tremendous blessings--and this is just another one--even though the wrapping is different than we would have chosen. All things have been created through Him and for His glory (Colossians 1), and so we praise Him in the storm and pray that our lives may be in service to God wherever He leads." – Rebekah

A Thank You Email from My Niece

Dear Aunt Chris
Thank you for the look and find pictures Aunt Chris! I love coloring them. You are a good artist. I think the clown (drawing) is Uncle David. Thank you for the $25.00, too. I will use it in the future when I buy my pony or horse.

We're getting ice. My head hurts because the ice falls on it.

I love you very dearly.
Your friend,
Amelia

I love that seven year old munchkin. I am the luckiest Aunt ever! Savor the details.
